…Yes!! It’s true… a few spots have opened up as we get closer to the big Valentines Portrait Fundraiser!! Some very adorable hubbies are taking their ladies away for the weekend so we will miss them on the 13th, but TOTALLY UNDERSTAND why they can’t make it!

Valentines Day is just around the corner!
Bring the ‘love’ in your life in for a portrait on Saturday, February 13th. It’s our third annual “Who Do You Love?” Valentines Fundraiser for the Heart & Stroke Foundation and space is limited! For a $75 donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation you get a 20 minute studio portrait session and a 5×7 black & white print with a total value of over $300! Last year we raised over $500 and we are hoping to beat that this year.

As many of you know, as of last fall I am no longer photographing weddings. My portrait business has taken flight, and there are just not enough hours in the week to do both really well. I have the utmost respect for GOOD wedding photographers and after four years of shooting weddings I now know that to master wedding photography one must be good at EVERY kind of photography, and then smoosh that all together into a beautiful collection of still lifes, portraits, candids, photojournalism, and editorial styles. Your wedding day will go by in a blur of family & friends, happiness & love. At the end you will be left with your memories of the day, and your photos.
This weekend is The Wedding Co.’s annual show at the Carlu. I stopped by last night to visit some photographer friends and see their displays.
The show is truly a collection of the best vendors in the city and the flowers, dresses and cakes are just to die for!
My friend, Rebecca Wood, was there. In addition to being a super wicked chick, Rebecca also happens to be an AMAZING photographer. Her style is light, airy, feminine and simply delicious! If you are in the mode of planning your wedding, you should definitely stop by the show at the Carlu and be sure to say hello to Rebecca and check out her delightful display!

…Our last day of the year!! Can it really be our third Christmas here at Tynan Studio?? It has been an amazing year and I have had the chance to meet and work with so many wonderful new families, as well as many families we continue to capture as you grow.
We are getting set for a restful little break and will be back in the studio Monday, January 11st ready to get set for a new year.
Thank you so much to all our clients, vendors, family and friends and a special thank you to my wonderful husband Kmac for being so supportive. I’m know that after the last two months of craziness you are ready to have your wife back!!

For the last blog post of the year… a delightful baby girl! Thanks to Mom and Dad for being so patient – we took these photos at the beginning of December, but I finally just had a chance to post them now. Have fun sharing them with grandparents!!

This Friday and Saturday we will be bringing Santa to Bishop Strachan School for a visit and photos. We will also be selling our famous “Double Dollar” holiday give certificates all wrapped up and ready for giving this holiday season.
Friday is open to students and family, and Saturday is open to everyone! Admission is free and there are many wonderful vendors selling fabulous holiday treats. Get your Christmas shopping done early this year!
