… it would be divine!

These little fairies are part of the Swansea School of Dance and participated in a photo shoot in High Park just days before our summer vacation.

We are just passing through town from one vacation spot (camping in Northern Ontario, and I mean seriously NORTH as in NO cell phone reception!!!) to the next.

We are off to spend the rest of the week in Southampton, Ontario on Lake Huron. My fingers are crossed for warm weather and sunshine… may all your labor day weekends be full of family and fun.

Back in a week!

This is truly spectacular and was shared by my friend Rebecca Wood (an AMAZING photographer)

Here are some of my favorite images from the Dry Goods shoot we had a few weeks ago in High Park. Dry Goods is a Toronto based T-shirt company that creates cool shirts for babies & kids with organic fabric and soy based inks. The shirts are available at Diaper-eez in Bloor West Village, as well as lots of other children’s boutiques in the Toronto area.

Oh how I love my swing!

Oh how I love my swing!

The Swing

How do you like to go up in a swing?
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside–

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown -
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

… Miss M!! Yesterday we had brilliant weather and an all round brilliant time at High Park with Maya & her little bro, Jack. Maya is the winner of the Dry Goods Modeling contest we held this July at Diaper-eez in Bloor West Village. The shots for the ad campaign will be released soon, but prior to shooting the campaign we took a little time to capture Maya & Jack in their own wardrobe. Stay tuned for the Dry Goods campaign!

Maya takes a little time to smell the flowers before the start of the big shoot!

This past weekend we went to New York to celebrate with our friends Colin & Steph, who tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at the Wainright House in Rye. We stayed in the city for the first few days at a killer new hotel in the Meat Packing District called The Standard with views of the Hudson River and the West Village. On Saturday we headed up to Rye, New York (about a 30 minute drive from the city) to attend the wedding. It was a BLAST and I am still exhausted from all the dancing (yes, I am a dance machine). More photos to follow, but here is a peek.

The official photographer for the wedding was Sue Kessler of Christian Oth Studio in New York. They are an AMAZING studio and I love Sue’s work. I can’t wait to see her photos of the day! My shots are totally ‘unofficial’ and were snuck here and there while being a guest.

I’m working on a wedding album design for a FABULOUS couple from last year. The wedding was at Vineland Estates and I have to say that this was hands down, my FAVORITE dress of ALL TIME – of course it didn’t hurt that Darcy is DIVINE and would look brilliant in a paper bag. As of this year we are no longer photographing weddings so we can focus on kids, kids and more kids, but it is fun to revisit a wonderful wedding from last year. The album is going to be spectacular!
